An Interview with Wes Helberg….
Q.Wes how long have you been piercing?
A. I started piercing at Caspian in 2003, so around six years
now.
Q. Do you live in Lynchburg?
A. I lived here for a long time, but now I reside in
Charlottesville and commute to work here.
Q. What is your schedule at the studio?
A. I work on Saturdays and Sundays, I am here every weekend.
I attend college during the week.
Q. Do you like piercing?
A. Yes I have thoroughly enjoyed it, it has been a lot of fun
working in this industry.
Q. What is your favorite part of this job?
A. I would say meeting people and being able to help them obtain a
piercing that is just right for them.
Q. What would you say is your primary focus with your
piercing?
A. I focus on doing a clean, well placed piercing and I
really stress proper aftercare with the client. There is no need to
get pierced if you are not going to take good care of it.
Q. What kind of relationship do you have with your
clients?
A. I try to focus on their needs and I am always willing to
help with any questions concerning piercing, aftercare or jewelry.
I am always available to respond to a call or an e-mail.
Q. What advice would you give any potential piercing
clients?
A. Think about your piercing. Get one you will enjoy and one that
complements your look.
Q. Being the senior piercer at body element, where do you think
body piercing is headed?
A. I think the future of body piercing is going to be
exciting, there have been so many new piercings created and the
jewelry just keeps getting better everyday. Twenty years ago it was
ear piercing and now the navel, nostril and micro dermal implants
are the norm, who knows what's next.
Q. What do you think about Body-Element?
A. I think it is great; body piercing has evolved a lot since I
have been piercing, and the jewelry and aftercare available here is
unreal. Body-Element is definitely the future of piercing.
